Something Blue

Last week, I received an invitation for a garden themed summer wedding, rounding out a group of three weddings that I would be attending this summer. Searching for the perfect wedding guest dress became infinitely harder when I realized I had to shop for four different dresses. So after scouring the racks (metaphorically, of course, because most of my shopping was done online) I arrived at these options. To get us all excited for wedding season, I decided to follow that old rhyme (how does it go, something old, something new…) and do this post in blue. After all, I don’t know a more versatile and classic color than blue.

I chose this Isola dress because it comes from one of my favorite online dress stores, Fame & Partners. One thing that makes this store so great is that there is an endless size variety and an impressive plus-size collection. The website allows you to custom make your own dress and order it in almost any color, which takes care of any of those pesky color requirements.

This sweet Finna dress from Ted Baker is perfect for any sixties or retro wedding. With the three bows in the front, the pleated back (not pictured) and three-quarter sleeves, this dress is classic, modest and guaranteed to see a lot of use.

Nobody wants to wear black to a wedding but the navy color that this Le Chateau  Lucia dress comes in is a darker color option. This high neck dress may appear ladylike and simple from the front but the cowl neck back is on trend and adds interest. This dress is ideal for the transition from the formal ceremony to the reception.

This Forget Me Not dress is from Paper Crowns, a line of clothing designed by Lauren Conrad that I cannot stop going back to. The large floral print is unique and romantic and the swing style of the dress is playful. The dress is perfect for a casual, outdoor wedding and also perfect for the dance floor.
